Challenge

Complex financial management across diverse geographic locations was inefficient due to reliance on paper-based invoices and manual data entry, leading to errors and delays. The lack of real-time data hindered effective decision-making and performance monitoring, while disparate systems and varied processes across different entities created confusion and user frustration.

Solution and Transformation

In 2019, Air Liquide China initiated its digital transformation with the implementation of request forms, approval workflows, and data integration with Oracle, marking the beginning of its digital evolution. In 2020, the focus expanded to Japan, introducing Ringi Workflows to align with Japanese decision-making practices, automating travel-related approvals, enhancing administrative processes, and managing contract staffing complexities with multi-language support. The following year, 2021, saw a ServiceNow upgrade and a finance focus upgrade with the introduction of E-time and E-code applications, complemented by a Finance CSAT Survey to assess impacts and identify further needs. In 2022, the focus was on enhancing finance applications with continued ServiceNow upgrades, secure ACLs and data integrations, and the introduction of 20 new complex E-Finance workflows, expanding financial process automation. By 2023, the EAGLE Project was launched, introducing new finance workflows and demonstrating a consultative approach with in-house expertise. Continuous support and enhancements for existing applications were also provided, marking a year of expansion into Korea and ongoing improvements.
